Kygo - Kids in Love Album Booklet Concept
Kygo is a Norwegian DJ and record producer and Kids in Love is his sophomore album released in 2017. The music on this album is very topical and upbeat and it speaks about the complexity and simplicity of love.
Process of Design
It started with questions of what do people in love do? I thought about the places couples go to build memories. Where do young people from the Midwest go on dates? Young people tend to live at home, so where are spaces that allow them to spend time together?
Drawing on architecture drawings that fuses photography with illustrations and bold graphics, this concept of showcasing space in terms of romance came to be. I borrowed a lot of elements from looking at different works by architects and architecture students. The illustrative quality is to call back to doodles that kids tend to draw.
